Again Tom, I am not trying to split hairs . we agree that he was charged with having crack and heroin. those are the only facts we know.

from what I read I am under the impression that the crack and heroin were found in his apartment. that implies to me he is a small fish in a large pond.

I don't doubt he knows many people in the drug trade, and most likely because he has to buy somewhere.

my original post being that all the police did by publicizing him so much for such a small amount was bolster his status amongst the other criminals.

I'm sure that kid is really happy to be living in some group home in darkest Rutland and out of the Madison and away from that hot little 23-year-old with the chest.

There are tons of 15-year-olds in Kelowna living in more dangerous situations than that. Without the perks.

Those kids need help too. Maybe you can send your kids to live with Mr. Schrader when he's released, if it's such a plush assignment. Come on...do you REALLY think the boy was better off there? Getting the care and guidance he needs to become a healthy, productive adult?

And do you really believe the boy is in some awful place now, or was that just a worst-case thing to make your point?

Who cares if it bolsters his status, WHATEVER! Maybe that's a good thing, then maybe he'll become a target for someone else to shoot at. The sooner all the scum that have anything to do with the drug trade, (small fish or big fish) do away with each other the better.

As was posted many times....she was a very beautiful woman...BEFORE she hooked up with this scumbag.
It is disturbing how women can get so sucked in by these pigs and the lifestyle that they are willing to do anything and give up everything to maintain the plastic trophy girlfriend look that seems to be what these guys want.
It is equally disturbing that her friends, who say what a wonderful person she was...stood by watching this obsession grow , watching her waste away, destroy her looks with way too many procedures....and did not intervene....but instead try to defend the pig she was with - saying he loved her and he was so nice and he was trying to straighten out his lfe..blah, blah, blah.
Her 'appearance' was a red flag that there was something very wrong.

and to the poster who thinks that 33 grams of crack and 3 grams of heroin is a big bust... both of those substances are sold by the kilo gram.

It is not a big bust at all. But it is crack and it is heroin. Crack dealers on the street only carry a small amount with them at a time and have runners going back and forth with more product so they don't do much time if caught. The fact is, he was selling crack and he was selling heroin.

All this talk on looks. Doesn't even occur to some of you that these girls have self esteem and confidence issues that more than likely came about from obsessions about weight that we heap on them. Airbrushed magazine covers, Hollywood moviestars, the glitz and glam. The pressure to be beautiful must be overwhelming for these young girls and women, and we see that truth when it manifests into anorexia or bulimia etc.

The more I read this thread the more I'm disgusted that I call some of you people neighbours. What I'm reading here does not represent ethical and compassionate behavior.
