Drug dealers are scum and anyone who knowingly gets involved is scum. My hope is that those involved in dealing drugs all kill each other off and we can be rid of them all .

Lol - gonna be deleted.

So I'm not aloud to ask if there have been any recent murders in Kelowna that weren't drug related?

Graham Adder wrote:I'm not so sure price really matters to an addict.
Even with high prices on some drugs, addicts still obtain them in enough quantity and frequency to develop long term addictions...that are fed from the proceeds of their own crime(s).

I'm not convinced that those who will try hard drugs are deterred by the pricing.
I do agree that it would only be necessary to keep the price slightly under the street level prices.
I also agree that controlling also means less O.D. cases and less additives that create shitstorms in the mind and do more harm than the actual drug intended to be consumed.

True, it doesn't matter to an addict, but you want it high enough that people think twice about trying it (not to mention help cover the costs of rehab programs, etc). If the government took care of the addicts and rehab programs then they wouldn't have to steal to get their fix.

LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD:
It means those who spend all their time seeking violence and trying to kill others are destined to find the violence they seek and die instead. It is meant as a warning to not seek fights, but to try to find peaceful resolutions to problems if at all possible (a sentiment that is too often forgotten and sorely needed in this world).

Were I a betting person, I would wager that sislonski's post is getting pretty close to the reality of the situation. There are situations where innocent people are injured or killed [collatoral damage] when criminals are targetted, but fortunately it hasn't happened that often. At the very least, this woman made the bad choice of getting involved with a criminal who was heavily involved in the drug trade. Most of us don't know the extent of her knowledge/involvement in Snow's criminal life. That having been said, her premature and violent demise ought to be an example of others to the very real consequence of getting involved with scum from the criminal milieu.

More names. And surprising claims of dealing with the DEA.

LyricalOne wrote:Oh the dilemma...to comment or not to......what the heck...I will.....seems to me that there is a huge underlying hypocrisy to all of this. You see, many of you that are commenting or judging also perpetuate the drug trade...meaning, you smoke pot or even "recreationally" play with other drugs.....does this make you a criminal? In my books, it is black and white...pot is illegal and YOU ARE perpetuating/supporting/encouraging the drug trade ....but nahhhh, you good, righteous folks would not see it that way right? So if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and happen to be with someone who is a known dealer/supplier and you are hurt...or worse, pass away....everyone should come into a PUBLIC forum, speculating that you are a bad person, that you made your choice, that your children/loved ones should suffer from your stupid choice(s)/decision(s) and a community so willing to be judge, jury and prosecution without knowing one solid thing about you has the right to further defamate your name/character so that your loved ones/children suffer even more hurt? Really now???????

I have read the "paint all with the same brush" commentary about escalade, her looks, and the drug life (etc etc) and really, it is laughable....and frustrating at the same time. By the way, do your research.... Ms. Goruk had/has operated her tanning salon for well over 10 years (while she was married and thereafter). She was/is a petite, striking/attractive woman and was before, during and after her involvement with Mr. Snow. She may have made an unwise choice by falling in love with a man who walked on the dangerous side but she did not have a criminal record and from all accounts, was a good, loving mom. Sometimes, the heart wants what it wants...right or wrong....we have ALL experienced this. But wait, none of you live n glass houses and none of you have the right to cast the first, second, third, fourth....hundredth stone. None of you have ever, ever made a stupid choice and none of you smoke pot or have tried any other drug right? Nahhhh, I did not think so.

Don't recall defending any drugs...but go ahead and paint us all with the same brush.
Do your research.....her tanning salon went out of business last fall.
She didn't just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...she made a decision over a year ago to be with a convicted drug smuggler/dealer who was running pot into the US in exchange for cash and cocaine.

A good , loving mom...who, by her own friend's account....needed a break from that life and her kids....and chose the life she was living with this scum over them.
Great mom indeed.
We have not ALL made those kinds of decisions...sorry.

Why should we have sympathy for her? Why should we feel bad for choices that she made?
We deserve to be ticked off. We have the right to be sick and tired of filth like this taking over our city and our neighborhoods.
I don't give a rats *bleep* how nice or pretty people say she was....she screwed up big time, hurt her family, hurt her children, lost her business.....all to live the high life with a scumbag dealer.
