I got Married because I was sick and tired of finishing my own sentences.

We were checking it out on Sunday. It has a LONG way to go before it looks like anything.

Was it in receivership at one time?

The reason I asked about the golf course is because I have heard some rumors.. Just wondering if any other people have heard the same thing..Probably just rumors...

Well I don't know if they are bankrupt or not. What I do know is it seems to be taking a long time to build a golf course, and that they have alot of work to do before it is a playable golf course. Hope they finally open some time.
I also don't think they will get as many members as they want at $20,000 initiation and $3000 per year dues. Seems a little steep for the folks of Peachland.

You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

Re: The New Golf Course at Peachland
I work in the golf industry and have worked on two construction projects. They progressed at a much faster pace than this projects seems to be going.
When I worked on a construction project 10 years ago in the lower mainland, a 9 hole executive course and a 18 hole championship course where both built in 3 years. That was from bare forested land that had to be cleared and shaped. Not from a piece of property that already had a 18 hole golf course on it.
Just seems to be taking a very long time.

Well many of the golf courses in the whole Okanagan valley are having difficulties retaining a membership base. And most of them charge less than $3000 per year for dues. Good luck is all I can say.

The question was about the golf course, not the housing. I know they are the same project. But are there any golf construction workers up there yet this spring? Building homes doesn't make a good putting surface.
