That looks like Summerland to me (architecture of buildings & black street lights on 1st picture).. Is that a Tim Hortons in the background?

It has happened to many businesses, people get distracted or freak out and confuse the break and the gas. I've seen more and more places installing those steel posts to protect the buildings but I don't think it will become a rule unless there are fatalities involved.

In the other hand by looking at the pictures; the glass panels that are still standing are literally invisible. Maybe the driver didn't see them until too late. I bet there is more than one person that has bumped against them.

I googled and the pictures are in fact in Summerland, taken at McDonald's across Highway 97

Incidents of this nature seem to be occurring several times a year around the Cental Okanagan. Driving while not paying attention to the extent that an accident like this occurs is just plain stupid.. is it not? Short of the driver experiencing some sort of medical problem, what other excuse can there be?
