Day Hiking Groups

Post by AltaRed »

Is anyone aware of names/contacts for any of the day hiking groups in the West Kelowna/Peachland/Kelowna area? I am a recently retired Alberta transplant looking to join a group that is into casual, non-competitive day hiking, either half day or full day, in the various provincial parks nearby. I used to day-hike weekly with a small group of hikers aged 60-75 in the Rockies 5-20 km of distance and 500-900m of elevation. Mostly a social group out for exercise and enjoying the scenery.

A quick Google search turned up these two results:

I hope you find what you are looking for. Lots of great places to explore in the Okanagan.

Check out Josh with hikingaddiction.ca. He has a facebook page as well. Hike at least a couple times a week all over the place.

There's several in Peachland, I believe. Volkssport Club and Happy Trekkers or something. Call the Peachland Rec. Dept at 250-767-2133.
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.
