^^ Hey it's the previous whiner that posted about Kennedy donating his salary.

I simply suggest that with lofty expectations such as that, leading by example should be the way to go.

what most people fail to see is if theres leadership from top down , most people will take up the cause to , so if politicians want to fly around to shovel dirt, everyone should have a free flight a year :)

Maybe this will close a few NDP pie holes.

$1000 bucks to fly to Kelowna and back, was not an exact accounting figure, please go to http://www.westjet.com so you can relax. If I was out a few hundred bucks, I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended.

You misread. I actually did not endorse anybody working for free. Please go back and re read my post. I used examples of politicians that went above and beyond, in which takes a lot of character to do this.

Im not a politician, but if I was, I would be hammering on the fact to cut ridiculous spending to the point where most fellow politicians would probably hate me. I believe in always being mindful of fellow Canadians, and keep the money in hard working Canadians pockets...

I really wonder why anyone goes into public service. Some of us think that the RapidBus is a great idea that's good for students, good for the environment, and good for the public at large. It's more than appropriate that our MLA (and Premier of BC) would be here to celebrate the start of work on this project. The fact that her entire caucus was here in the riding is a real bonus. Sad that some people can't stand to see some of these positive initiatives acknowledged and celebrated.

As I said earlier, if Clark did not attend, odds are good the same whiners would still be whining just using a different angle. Instead they'd be crying that Clark is an absentee MLA and doesn't care about her constituents.
