In World War I about 65,000 Canadian military personnel were killed and in World War II it was about 43,000 killed. Also to be remembered are the 500 who lost their lives in the Korean War and those who have been killed in various peacekeeping campaigns over the years. Those are the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice but there are also those who were injured and those who weren't injured but who spent years away from their loved ones in the service of their country.

What about vets who spent the war in a POW camp or lost their hearing, eyesight, limbs, etc.? Don't they count?
Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
