The Duck Pond

Post by Rose Thompson »

Everybody must know what I mean - the one behind City furniture, where Bering Rd intersects the frontage rd to Superstore. Would it be impossible to create a park there and the adjoining property across the street, which is such an eyesore. A big empty field strewn with rocks, piles of dirt and litter. All we have on our highway frontage is strip malls. Wouldn't a park be beneficial to everyone?

I LOVE your idea!!!
Not sure who owns this piece of property, but it sure would be an improvement.

**Disclaimer: The above statement is in my OPINION only.

Would be a good location for some sort of attraction... perhaps a kids petting zoo or something similar.

Good idea! They could call it Old McDonalds Farm.

I so miss the Old MacDonald's farm that was there. Should have left it as it was and built around it.

You miss it? Who pays the rent? Superstore or a lame jailhouse for so called petting animals.

I think people should stop illegally feeding wild animals in a gross little pond on the side of the road.

I also think more people should phone Conservation officers when they see people feeding wild animals. especially ducks / geese

Old McD's farm should have stayed. I'm talking about a park, not a petting zoo. Just a place with greenery and benches, nothing that elaborate. Westbank is a pretty ugly place just going by the highway view.

I agree 100% with that.
