When a highway is routed around a town it condemns the town to an eventual slow death.

Do you really think that ANY politician is going to consign a town to a slow death? Do you really think that any politician SHOULD do anything to exclude his\her constituents from equal economic opportunity and the hope of enjoying the "good life"?

I would argue that the Hwy 97 couplet that runs right through the "Westbank" neighbourhood of West Kelowna has condemned that part of town to a slow death.
