Only item I found was the news they were closing back in May.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

I have no idea but will say Staples will never be re opening there and that they are just gutting the place. I do see activity at the former MTF building sunken down off the highway by Westlake though. Wonder what they are up to and wish them luck whatever it is.

It is still listed as active on their site. staples.ca. Fannys fabrics is going into MTF. Maybe it is fabric land. Not sure

Went by there yesterday and there was a security guard at the open front doors. It appeared to be mostly empty.

Somehow I cannot see that happening, and after talking to the manager (who is being left high and dry after 19 years), she says no way. IF and a huge IF they were to reopen, they need to restaff the whole store as the current staff was in need of some much better customer service skills.

As much as an ikea would be awesome here, it is probably something that won't succeed.

Fabricland is aiming for a mid-October opening in the old MFT building. They'll be in the front portion facing Hwy. 97.

How long do we give a fabric store in WK?
Maybe its what the people want after all we obviously didn't need MTF or the adult store or an office outlet or a Future Shop or any number of other stores that just didn't make it here in WK. Perhaps it will do well but didn't the Kelowna one disappear?
