The say power shuld b back on around 8:00 pm
Its out in the casaloma area too

Bc hydro estimates power to be on at 8pm for all areas.

UPDATE 7:25 P.M.

BC Hydro says the outage stems from an issue with the transmission line 30 kilometres east of Merritt, coming from the Nicola substation.

Crews are on their way, and at this time it is not known what is causing the outage.

BC Hydro is still estimating power will be returned by 11 p.m. for the nearly 22,000 customers without power.

A pain for homeowners but a huge nightmare for any business in the area. No choice but to close up and suck up the losses I guess

ive got a generator . TV powered up . Weird to find out cable doesn't work in these circumstances . Cordless phones , nothing . Wifi on but no signal . Sonos doesn't work . Technology is wonderful .

If they don't know what's causing it and crews aren't on scene, how do they estimate what time it will be back on?
