Two sentenced in shoot-out

I applaud Justice Peter Rogers in his sentencing of Shawn Wysynski.
Justice Peter Rogers sentenced him to nine years in a federal institution, minus 39 months credit for his 26 months served in a remand centre. He also received a lifetime firearms ban and is required to give a DNA sample.
"
His criminal record can lead one to no conclusion other than, Mr Wysynski simply has no attachment to normal society," Justice Rogers said. "I'm not optimistic that whatever programs may be available to him in custody will have a rehabilitative effect, but, as they say 'never say never,' and who knows, Mr Wysynski might eventually surprise us all."
I wish more Judges handed out stiffer sentences, it may not cure them but will keep them safely off the streets!

Retired Supreme Court Justice and friend of the family that unfortunately has passed away many years ago due to an illness would have applauded the decision as well but only privately, publicly we know they must appear impartial :)
“The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient, while nature cures the disease." & “doctors put drugs of what they know little into bodies of which they know less for diseases of which they know nothing at all.”

That's stiff? That's a joke!!! You want gun control, minimum 10 years, no chance of parole for 10 years.

The nine year sentence seems right on. People get upset about the 3 year reduction for time served. One must remember 2 of those 3 years he was held innocent until proven guilty. How would you like to be held for 2 years awaiting a trail and you were truly innocent?

But he wasn't.

Hard to presume someone innocent with so many witnesses.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

I know he wasn't. The sentence appears to be a good one considering the time served and the time to be served.

It would be a better sentence if it included sterilization so he doesn't pass on his genes.

The girl in the back that got shot lost a baby due to the injuries inflicted by said shot. I wonder if it was his offspring to be? Or in this case not to be.

Oh people, she didn't know these guys were bad boys!
She'll sue the RCMP and will retire from being further involved in crime.

Re: Two sentenced in shoot out
It is unfortunate that these young girls get involved with drugs, which leads to their involvement with absolute losers like this Shawn Wysynski. There have been some pretty sad results for young women in this area over the last couple of years. This young woman ends up wounded in the exchange of gunfire with the police, loses her baby and a kidney. The young lady, Tiffany Goruk who died in that [as yet unsolved] double homicide in February of 2013. There have been others as well.
