Lampwork Beadmaking

Post by Olivia »

Hi... I'd love to try my hand at lampwork beading before buying all the goods. Anyone in the Kelowna area do this?

TIA!

Very cool! Do you do other things besides beads?

There is another lady in town named Sheilagh Pansegrau.
I think her company is called Bella Dolci or something like that.
She only makes beads.

I only do only beads for now, I have only a limited work space. I would love to get into marbles, and some sculpture work. I have done some sculpture already, but with my torch, its time consuming.

I don't know Sheilagh, but I think I have heard of her work.

I am actually on my way out the door to a lampwork jewelry party right now. When I get back I should post some pics. I have been wanting to post pics on here, but I am sooooo bad at doing that stuff!

I tried working with marbles once but I kept losing them. Now I have none left!

Look down a wee bit...perhaps you'll find a couple. :138:

I admire those who do beadwork. It is so "finicky". Looking forward to seeing some pictures--of the lamps, etc. (Not Dandy's lost marbles!)
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

Well, first off I couldn't find my original pics I wanted to post. Then I took some new pics, and they are so HUGE (1MB each??)and I need them cropped so that ya'll can see the detail. I am slamming my keyboard and my mouse around trying to get them posted. Haha, I am an artist and I do have a temper. Just a little frustrated I guess.
