Sometimes when I cry, I just want to see your face
I'll hold on to you oh so very tight
The world will go on around us
As I sit here and write, words I cannot say out loud
Tell me please, say them for me
Inside my head I start to scream
Look into my eyes
Can you see my plea
Begging for solace, for comfort you provide
Look into my eyes
Please just look inside
Tongue tied until tomorrow
As I sit here and hide behind my pen
I cower
Do you see what it is I want to say
If I told you how I feel
Would you turn and run away?
Take my heart and hold me close
Love strike me again today
Enslaved within this madness
I find respite in unspoken words
Dancing in your kitchen, time will stop
And life itself will seem absurd
