Re-using

Post by >jim< »

So I kinda hate having to throw stuff out, and I know recycling still takes a lot of resources to pull off... so I started coming up with re-uses for some containers of products I commonly use. I'm curious, what would-be waste do you get creative with? I know there's gotta be some fun ones out there, let's hear 'em! :spinball:

Well, here's my super awesome bagel storage - or what used to be a blank CDs case.

I like to repurpose in my garden ... this is a cracked bird bath filled with wild bird seed ...

Recycled pallets make a fence around the garden ... my tomato plants got tied up to the pallets as they grew,

Ha ha, Bush Art Gardens. Cheezy as all get out, but I like it.

Kinda reminds me of this one:

made this a few years ago. A random chunk of steel I found in a scrap bin, some defunct welding rod bent into hoops and a bit of creative mig welding for the lettering and flutterbye. :discodance:

I love the above photos! I just did up a pair of old boots for plant holders, drilled some holes in the bottom and added rocks for drainage. I hope it works cause its a super cute idea. In the thrift store the other day I was wondering how purses would hold up as gardens. How do they do as the summer progresses?

I want to try the painted tires also, but I wonder how long it takes for the pain to start coming off?
