We are eating black krims out of the garden.
And we have our tickets for the Tomatoe Festival at Sunshine Farms.

I dug up what I had for potatoes - need to harvest grapes, beets, carrots beans, and lots of tomatoes: yellow brandywine, old german, cherokee purple, druzba, Marianne's Peace, Mortgage Lifter, red brandywine, amish paste. The two cherry tomatoes we love are sweet millions and sungold (Glacier got me totally hooked on the latter).
I haven't failed until I quit.

Well, this will be the last season for my big walnut tree.
I'm going to cut it down. It's too close to the house and too close to my vegetable garden.
It's such a big old beautiful tree. Going to be a shame.
I'll replace it tho with 15 pinot noir vines and a half dozen Thompson seedless.

Well, stuff is coming out of the garden and I am a bit depressed. Those bare patches of ground are not very rewarding so I am contemplating doing some fall seeding. BUT I really have no experience in that. The only thing I can think about are peas but I need some suggestions from youse guys who have experience in this to give me some more hints on what I can put in maybe a month from now that will give me something to look forward to next spring.

Thanks!

Grandkid plated carrots about 6 weeks ago that are sizing nicely now that I plan on leaving in for winter harvesting under cover of mulched leaves and dry grass.

We also are pulling out stuff and leaving certain stuff in "just in case it gets warmer again."

Tomorrow we are buying garlic bulbs again to plant either on Sunday or Monday. We have a whole garden bed to pull out and clean up before we plant them though.

Sad for us all.

Still lots of kale, greens, carrots, and peppers to harvest.

I'm still picking carrots beets onions leeks tomatoes green peppers kale strawberries apples and potatoes.
I pickled 41 jars of jalapeños the other day. At my current consumption rate they won't last long.

Planted a hazelnut tree today, now I just need one more. They don't produce unless you have two trees.

Well, I dug up the last of my spuds today. I put about 100 pounds away.
It feels like if was just last month when I met queenie and Lady TehMa at The Greenery on their first day open this spring.
Where did that season go? Sure went fast.

I'll say. And you've got a beautiful garden.

We just planted garlic, Spanish Soje and Russian Red. Got Italian for later.

I'm leaving carrots in but I sure cleaned up some overgrowth in tomatoes and peppers. Pulled lots of herbs gone wild.

Last of the sunflowers almost pulled for the birds.

I did my chard today, picked all my red sauce tomatoes and got them all frozen. I'm looking at the forecast, and all the green tomatoes I have . . . thinking I'll leave them for a week. What do you think?

I've got red and semi red peppers, should I leave them for 10 days?
