Private Electrical

We recently purchased a home that has an underground electrical wire running from the house to a large shed all the way across the yard (1/4 acre lot).

We would like to do some digging, but are unsure of where the electrical is located exactly.

Does anyone know who you would call to stake/mark out the private electrical? I know you can call the "Call before you dig" for public utilities, but not for private.

I am not clear as to what you mean by 'private'? Do you mean that the power source (Hydro line) was downloaded to the property line and the owner simply dug a trench to the destination and hooked it up?
