Back yard ponds

Post by dirty worx landscaping »

Well it's that time of year and we are in the middle of re-landscaping our yard. We got our pond dug and started and now just getting more flagstone to build our waterfall. It's not a huge pond but our yard is not big either so it fits nice in our back corner. Now we are looking at plans and lighting to put around it. If you have a pond post pics and let's see what every one else has. I'm gonna post some pics of mine once I'm not on a phone.

I also put an older pond liner under it for extra protection. I wanted to make sure it would not get punctured in any way. Also a good way to get rid of the old one haha.

Good call.
I prelined my liner with old carpet.
Make sure you get lilies!
Water hyacinth can be a bit invasive but fish love its soft roots.
If it gets outta control just pick some out and compost it.

Yeah I love the look of water lilies and the colors. I heard you have a pretty nice pond. Any chance you have some pics of it?

Might not be any complete ones, likely mostly the plants in it.

Oh wow that's a beautiful pond. I'll take some of mine tomorrow.. we are still building it and our yard is still all dirt from all the new landscaping we have done. On the bright side owning a landscaping company keeps the cost down haha.. our yard will be beautiful when it's all down and the new grass seed is put out.I'm kinda over this whole dirt yard thing haha.. not to mention every time it rains my yard looks like a mud bogg :(..
