Front Load Washing Machine Cleaning.

Post by Bsuds »

If you have a front loading clothes washer that is leaving marks on your clean clothes then you might want to check this out.

Our LG has 3 paddles inside with rollers on them to agitate the clothes. This is what I found after removing them.

They are easily removed to clean.

Ugh. I clean ours regularly, but didn't realize those were removeable. Add another thing to the list!

I've never once washed a washing machine.
I've always thought they'd be kinda self washing.

Good tip, thanks. Will look my machine over.

I leave the soap drawer open and also prop open the loading door to help dry machine's innards when wash is done. This Helps prevent that fuggy smell that indicates not all is well within.

Sure beats the old washboard granny used in the dark ages. :skippingsheep:

No haven't tried those yet. This is the third time I've taken ours apart to clean but looks like I need to do it more often.

I put a cap full of detergent in mine, hot wash hot rinse, no clothes. There. That'll clean the sucker.

Give it time! lol

I don't know if this is model/brand specific but our LG certainly gets grungy under there.

A mixture of Vinegar and Baking Soda does a good job too in with the clean cycle.
