Wine corks

Post by Fancy »

So looking for novel ideas (besides wreaths) on how to use them and does anyone know what winery uses black corks? Photos would be great.

Place mats?

You collected enough wine corks to make a garden path with?

How about shoe scrapping mats?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

I can't do anything outside though I did love what Squires did in Naramata.

That was the decoration around the base of the trees (instead of bark mulch).

Indoor Christmas trees or outside in their gardens? Maybe I'm not the only one who has never been to Squires?

I tried finding articles. It was a wonderful restaurant that one had to book well ahead of time and order your meal. The corks were outside around the trees. It was a three hour meal that you took breaks at between courses. Absolutely amazing.

Thanks - I've got ideas now (I got tired googling but the link alanjh595 posted has something interesting I might try). And I couldn't remember the wine I had with the black cork - thanks for that Sige.

Sounds like a lot of wine corks..

I just make them into fishing bobbers with a few colourful Sharpies,
and a double nutted machine screw.
