I buy local.
I like to look my farmer in the eye, and see my animals or plants growing before I buy

It's th time of year that I find it easier to do both. Buy local and organic. Really looking forward to when we can eat home grown produce.

Thank You very much WeatherWoman for your generous efforts. This Availability guide will be rather useful in the near future.

Fresh is Best chips, salsa, and guacamole. Made in Kamloops. Save-on-foods, Coopers, and many other grocery stores carry their stuff. Not sure where they get their ingredients.

Denzel's hot sauce is made in Salmon Arm. He told me that he gets some of his peppers from a BC grower though I can't remember if it was Oliver or Walhachin.

Saw this article yesterday, These are some of the concerns I've had with organic certification for several years now. It's basically why I dropped my certified organic status as it seemed to be a huge cash grab with no policing.

Nom, this is really no surprise to me or to a lot of folk who have viewed the 'organic' industry as a total scam right from the get go.
