New app helps men find the perfect size

Not sure which condom size to buy? There's an app for that.

Condom Size is a 99-cent app for the iPhone and iPad that lets men discover how they "size up" against the rest of the world — by measuring penis length and girth with its digital measuring tape.

According to Condom Size's app store, "This app educates the male population on the proper condom placement, helps determine proper condom size, and gives you your world ranking."

Philly Mag's Josh Middleton explains how it works.

"The instructions? To measure length, it brazenly asks users to 'hold hard member straight against' a digital inches or centimetre ruler on your smart phone screen. For girth, you have to pull out the trusty measuring tape or a piece of string and input some data on your own," Middleton writes.

"When all the results have been entered, it offers suggested condom size, a recommended condom brand and info on how you stack up to the rest of the world. Plus, along with revealing the answer to one of life’s greatest questions, it also provides tips on how to use a condom and nifty fun facts, like, did you realize 'the average speed of an ejaculation is 30 mph'?"

Apparently, according to the app's press release, "real men use rulers." And while the company expects that bragging rights will follow for some app users, it's a statistical necessity that some of the male population will rank as below average.

Insecure men, use at your own risk.

Curious about how men "measure up" around the world? A 2012 survey reveals that, on average, men of Africa's Republic of Congo are the world's most endowed with an average penis size of 7.1 inches. Canadian men average at 5.5 inches, American men at 5.1, and North Koreans rank smallest with 3.8-inch members.

Would you or your significant other use a condom-fitting app? Or would you rather just make your best guess at the drug store?
