So Pittsburgh fired Dan Bylsma. I don't think it will be long before someone snatches him up. Maybe Vancouver?

I agree Dan will be picked up quickly, not sure if he is what Trevor is looking for or not. Time will tell I guess.

There are currently 3 teams looking for new coach.

Florida
Carolina
Vancouver

Blown away by some of the salaries handed out the last few days to 3rd and 4th line players. Player definitely big winners in this cap era.

True, a weak free agent class tends to lead to over payment for lower end players. On the good side, most of the contracts seem to be reasonable in legnth compared to past years.

I see only 2 cities that would be good locations out of the ones mentioned Quebec City & Seattle. Toronto is Maple Leaf country and those who are not Leaf fans root for Montreal, Boston or Detroit. As for Las Vegas not a chance every team that has tried has failed big time.

2014-15 seasons starts on October 8, usually after the 20th game teams that are not doing well start to tweak the team or just start firing mangement and/or coaches.

Wonder who gets canned first my bet is head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs(that is if they are doing bad), not because he's bad coach. It just he is easiest one to blame.

^^ Randy Carlyle could be on cropping block if Leafs continue like tonight, of course it depends
how long Shanahan is willing to wait.

It very early in the new season, but come on whats up with Oilers. On paper the talent is incredible as soon as it hits the ice Wow what a let down, feel bad for the fans.

I was expecting much better. Hey I hear Marty is looking for team that needs a goalie.

Wouldn't they be a surprise cup contender. lol!

The fact is the West dominates the East and that's how it should be. Canucks have looked good but the test will be when they take a Californian road trip.

Just 1 name John Tavares.
