Garcia is tied for the lead at six under. Woods is back at two under (along with Westwood). Fred Couples is at minus four and Jim Furyk is at minus three. Of course, this is Augusta and it’s far easier to lose strokes than it is to gain them. Lots of golf left to go.

After round #2

Jason Day -6
Fred Couples -5
Marc Leishman -5
Angel Cabrera -4
Jim Furyk -4
Brandt Snedeker -4
Adam Scott -3
Jason Dufner -3
David Lynn -3
Lee Westwood -3

Bubba Watson barely missed the cut, very unlikely to repeat as the winner.

Woods was tied for the lead for awhile today but fell back. Anything can (and will) happen over the next two days though. This is Augusta we're talking about. Nice to see the amateur made the cut even after being penalized a stroke for slow play today.

How impressive is this though.... a 14 year old made the cut for the masters!! Should be interesting to watch him come up the ranks!

Very impressive. If I remember correctly he shot a 73 the first day and a 75 the second (with a one stroke penalty for slow play) - and that's at Augusta from the professional tees under the pressure of playing in the Masters with all the best players in the world. Wow! My best score ever (on a full-length course) is 83 - and that was at Sun Rivers in Kamloops with my brother.

maybe today :sunshine:

He has today & tomorrow to drop his score by IMO 8 or 9 (which would have him at either -9 or -10).

I'm assuming the winner to be around -9 (+/- 3)

Added: but what do I know I'm not a golfer.

He is four back from the leaders, Snedeker and Cabrera. He has never come from behind to win a Major but there’s always a first time and he’s only four shots back. There are a bunch of top quality players all within striking distance and it is so easy for anyone to drop a bunch of shots at Augusta on Sunday (think Rory McIlroy). It should be a really exciting finish tomorrow (at least for those people who can appreciate how the words exciting and golf can be used in the same sentence).

Even without giving you the +/- 3 cushion (way too generous - LOL), a very good call. We'll see in a few more minutes.

Well, that was really quite the exciting finish for this years Masters and the Australians no longer have to settle for coming close. Both Cabrera and Scott side by side, shot for shot for two play-off holes but good going Adam Scott and congratulations.
