Re: Round 1 of 2015 NHL Play-off's >>Poll<<
The first round of the playoffs is always the most fun, and if a crazy upset is to happen, it's usually in round one. It's a long season, and my interest tends to tail off after the opening round as well.
Calgary-Vancouver should be an excellent series. Both teams in something of an underdog role, and both with lots to prove. The Canucks made the Cup final four years ago, and seem to have gotten a little farther from a championship every year since. After many coaching and management regimes and several "rebuilds", the Flames seem to have gotten it right, and this playoff appearance comes probably a year or two ahead of schedule.
Bring it on!

Rangers
Sens
Caps
Wings
-
Jets
Blues
Canucks
Hawks
I'm a Habs fan, but our offense & puck possession has been really bad all season (plus Patches may miss a few games and not be 100% when he's back), so I don't think Price can do it all on his own over a 7 game series. Maybe if Price could also score a few goals on Hammond. haha

Eastern Picks
Rangers over Pittsburgh (simply due to many key players for Pens are out + Fleury tends to blow it.)
Islanders over Washington (I believe John Tavares and Halak along with rest of team are due to make the second round)
Ottawa over Montreal (as stated by Woodenhead, which I totally agree)
Detroit over Tampa (mostly because the Wings can surprise other teams, its Mike Babcock way)
Western Picks
Winnipeg over Anaheim (bigger and more aggressive team + 2 goaltenders in Pavelec & Hutchinson)
Chicago over Nashville (even though Nashville have had a hell of a year, it's the fire power of Blackhawks)
Minnesota over St Louis (all the Wild needed was goalie well they found him in Devan Dubnyk, surprisingly)
Vancouver over Calgary (just going to say, I've been Canuck fan since they came into League and their last years in WHL)

So no one has any faith in Pittsburgh, eh? They have been there before, and know what it takes to win.

Combination of there early departures over last few year & now with few key players out with injuries. Yep thats what we are saying, almost forgot Fleury's choking problem = no chance against the New York Rangers.
