I have curious question, hoping someone may have the answer.
Do host still get a spot at the Memorial Cup even if they don't make the playoffs in their league i.e WHL???

This will maybe give Bruce a better chance of putting together a winning team.

Re: Memorial Cup
I love watching Junior hockey, and Memorial Cup is even better.
Saint John was third overall in their league but were bounced in the first round. So now they are well rested and healthy, after a 38 day layoff.
Final score against Hamilton was 5-3, and that flattered Hamilton.

Re: Memorial Cup
Memorial Cup final goes Wednesday.
It'll be a dogfight.
Host Saint John Sea Dogs take on the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Hamilton defeated Shawinigan in OT today.
My wife misread the team names the other day, Shawnigan, how exciting, a BC team.

Re: Memorial Cup
The host Sea Dogs convincingly beat the Bulldogs, 6 - 3.
Saint John was bounced early in the playoffs but as host were guaranteed a spot. Many wrote them off but after watching their first game one could tell they were well rested and healthy and stood a good chance of taking the Cup, which they did.
Hope to see them in Kamloops next year.
Will the Rockets be there too?
