Conkle Lake

Does anyone know if it is ok to shoot guns in or around Conkle Lake?

Good question, one website gives a list of parks you can hunt in, Conkle is not one of them, then another site makes it sound as though firearms are prohibited in BC parks.

Don't shoot a gun in Conkle Lake. It'll get wet and rust. And why not stay well away from a busy fishing area if you want to go plinking. Kids, dogs, etc running around in the bush doesn't make a safe shooting area. Stop at a cutblock somewhere and crack some cap, and leave the areas around campsites out. It's also illegal to discharge a firearm within a forestry campsite, so consider that too.

Thanks. That's why I asked. Just thought we might be able to go for a drive while camping and fire a few rounds off.
