Gillard
Scotty Creek
Postil Lake
Beaver Lake Rd
Oyama Lk Rd
Glenmore Highlands
Rose Valley
Bear Creek Main

There are places around here to suit any riding style and skill level.
They aren't "developed" to the same level as Silver Star, Whistler or the like, but that begs the question:
What are you looking for?
If it's riding, you're in luck.

You are right grahamadder. Good areas but need a little more polish. We are seeing some TLC being put into the Rose Valley trail network with proper signage. Kelowna could be a mtb bike destination along the lines of Rossland, Nelson, or Squamish.

I thought that Big White was looking at becoming a year round resort, and I thought that a mountain bike park was part of the plans.

I love your line of thinking.

Used to police kids on skateboards. No park and they felt City should put the cash out. I suggested to the group of twenty. Dig in give me $5.00 bucks each. I'll be back in a week to collect again, and again. They were stun, I said one we have enough cash WE will build a park to your liking..

No-one dug into their pockets.

Geez, I can't imagine why no kids would want to hand over $5.00 a week to some crankyass cop busting them for using a fun mode of transportation that offered both a means to getting around as well as staying active and keeping out of trouble (by comparison to where things have gone). who doesn't love a good run-on?

I used to be a kid on a skateboard. I lived in an area where crankyass cops busted our chops for riding our boards anywhere but in the fields and on dirt. That didn't work well. Skateboards...don't roll that way.

We'd ride "tandem" down the biggest hills with cops following close behind. Before they had a chance to get out of the car, we'd be off into a ditch for a tuck-n-roll, then scoop em up by the trucks and hoof-it pronto.

There would not have been a hope in hell that I'd have handed over my allowance to a cop that made false promises based on their high and mighty ego based opinion regarding breaking rules and whatnot.

We didn't let them blow hard CrankyCops ruin our fun...nor our evolution.

Rules were made to be broken, the same as skin.
Without anarchy resetting the rules, I'd still be declined a cold beer at the local pub, and I'd be sitting at the back on the way home.

I'd give my $5.00 in taxes any day of the week, if it meant giving more kids something better to do than Crack.

Good Rant.....I'll accept that in it's entirety.
