So I was golfing the other day with a guy I hadn’t met before. We were on the fourth tee box, the fairway parallel to the road next to us, when a hearse pulled on to the road. Suddenly the guy beside me put down his club, took off his hat and bowed his head as the funeral procession passed.

“Wow, that’s pretty respectful of you” I said.

“Well – I was married to her for forty years”

So I was golfing the other day with my good buddy Bruce when he had a heart attack and collapsed.

When I got home I told my wife to which she replied “That must have been awful”

“Damn rights”, I said. It was “hit the ball, drag Bruce; hit the ball, drag Bruce …”
