Ottawa is waiting for the winner of tonight's game between 2 heavyweights, Washington or Pittsburgh.
Nashville is also waiting for another game 7 winner that goes tonight, between Anaheim or Edmonton.

Got to wonder is Matt Murray available for Pittsburgh if Fleury has gone cold. If so how short is Marc's rope before being pulled.

Pittsburgh is another step closer to a repeat, which has not happened since the 90s.
Next season Capitals will not be the same, due to same big cap$$$ hits.

Capitals choke once again. Still have yet to make it passed second round since they went to cup back in 97/98. I am guessing this team is going to have some big changes coming in the off season.

Yep, with 6 UFA's & 6 RFA's
Could be huge cap issues to keep this team together
Added later: currently Washington is just under $40,000 from the Cap.

I think oilers losing game 5 really hurt their chances in winning this series. Was hoping they were going to be able to pull it off tonight, but they just seemed one step off. Future is bright with this team though.

Down to 1 Canadian club, I strongly believe next years playoffs will have few strong Canadian clubs in contention.

The Oilers seemed timid right from the opening face off. Even though they won that face off it was all they could do to move the puck up ice enough to dump it in. I was thinking they'd get their legs and snap out of it but even after they got the lead they just couldn't find their mojo. Disappointing but at least they only have themselves to blame with no controversial calls from the refs. Not to mention their future looks bright with lots to looks forward to, wish us Canuck fans could say the same.
