Maple Leafs legendary goalie Johnny Bower has died.

The 93-year-old Hall of Fame goalie died after a short battle with pneumonia, the family said in a release posted on Twitter on Tuesday by John Bower III, his grandson.

Bower won the Cup four times in the Maple Leafs last great heydey, 1962, '63, '64 and '67. He joined the Leafs in 1959 after spending 12 years in the American Hockey League and a few with the New York Rangers, retiring after the 1969-70 season. Bower posted 250 wins, 195 losses and 90 ties in 552 NHL games.

Tough guy , being a goalie before the days of goalie masks.
