2018 Winter Olympics

Post by Snman »

Thoroughly enjoyed the opening ceremony. I love the Olympics and get somewhat addicted to them. Who else loves the Olympics or caught the opening ceremony?

The CBC coverage sure is disappointing this year so far.

Knowing live coverage is 17 hours ahead of our time zone, as an example 9am Sunday morning in PyeongChang is 3 hours away here. Most of live broadcast would be 4pm to maybe 5am PST/our time zone.

Here is website so those wishing to see events have idea when they will happen

Actually my comment was on the professionalism of the broadcasts. I've seen better amateur productions.

^^^ over the years CBC commentators have moved on to better paying jobs at other sports channels.
As seen in 2010 with TSN/CTV held the rights to Olympic broadcasting. It's interesting that CBC wins broadcasting rights when Olympics are anywhere others then north America.
TSN has been sold some of the coverage.

There is 2 Olympic sports I enjoy watching, but there is absolutely no way I'd ever want to even try either.
• Skeleton's
• Ski Jumping

I love to watch all the sports, and all competitors from every country. I am happy for every winner, regardless of where they are from, and I also feel bad for all those who are unable to realize their dream of winning an Olympic medal.

They all look pretty young so it could be mostly nerves.
Maybe a more experienced team would do better.

We wish them well and hope for the best.

They are the reigning world champions, actually. 0 and 3 doesn't look good but they aren't done just yet.
