Meant to post this a while back, but didn't.

I have a VStar 1100 with Hard Krome Res-Tech pipes on it - bought it that way. I have the stock exhaust parts, but am missing the mid-section pipe. I found the HK pipes to be too loud and spent a bit trying to find a way to tone them down. I was almost to the point of ordering up the missing mid-section stock pipe (which is about $300) and putting the stock exhaust back on. Then I came across these guys:

http://www.smartpartz.com/index.html

I took a stab at them for the price (under $100 shipped and delivered). Took me about 90 minutes to install. The difference is absolutely amazing. My wife rides an S40 now, and I can hear the distinct sound of her engine thumping away when we're together. I wouldn't have heard that last year.

They make baffles for other pipes as well - so if you have nice big pipes but find them just slightly too loud, give these guys a look.
I'd like to change your mind, but I don't have a fresh diaper.

Geeezzz, could you also include a photo of your bikini-clad GF to go with those long, straight pipes you are showing off? By any chance, do you also have a big, yellow, Hummer too?

My wife rides her own bike. My daughter does ride on the back of mine, and all of us wear full gear.

No - I don't drive a big yellow hummer. We have a 2005 Mazda Tribute 4-cylinder, and it's charcoal grey.

Those long straight pipes have been muzzled (see attached pic). Look a few posts back for an explanation on that.

I like it. She's a 2003 VStar 1100 and she purrs along quite nicely. If you see me riding, be sure to wave!

What's your ride?

K - seriously - stop trolling and go start your own thread. This is a thread about bikes, and you're being a dick. Maybe you're just jealous that you can't ride - whatever.

How dismissive. Big pipes, little thrust. Yet another forum tough guy.

I'm ridin Thursday, +10ish forecast and wall to wall sun. Hopefully I can make it to buffalo lk before I freeze. I'll post some pics after, man the wrist is twitchy. 10S, this thread is about bikes and all things motorbike. If you have something related to contribute cool, if not move it along.

Ps, I guess your not my buddy Dick.

I just came back from an awesome evening ride - got the twitchies out for the night! It started sprinkling and blowing, but that's what heated vests are for. ;)

On a mildly related note - saw a cop pull up to a black Mazda-3 and give the driver crap for being on his cell. Whomever was driving KL3220 tonight, helmet's off to you.

Fixer, looking forward to seeing your pics.
