Probably just a Sunday day tripper

How are you feeling these days?

Well given the fact that his tread pattern is backwards, it would be a dry sunday daytripper.

I'm doing okay - still some swelling in places and some stiff joints that are being worked over at physio. ICBC spoke to a witness, verified my version of events, found the other guy 100% at fault. Other guy still has yet to respond/report to ICBC.

Ya well Sunday drivers/riders are the worst and he proves it :dyinglaughing:

Glad you are feeling some bit better and he was at fault. Hope it learns him a lesson some day. Funny he hasnt reported in yet.

Glad to hear your starting to heal up after
your encounter with the "cage"

I found a bike that was leaning up against a fence, it fell or was knocked over about 2 months ago.
I approached the owner about purchasing it, with zero knowledge of its condition.

He wanted about double what I would consider fair. He said it was a collectable.

He hasn't even bothered to stand it back up again...it pains me!

He'll never do anything with it and, I know that the investment required to
bring it back to life would far exceed it's saleable value. (not that I'm prone to selling my bikes.)

I would make the expendature to do so but, not if I have to pay out too much just to aquire it.

It's a piece of poo till someone wants it....Then it's gold plated!!!!

Soo we can't ride but, we can mod.
What are you adding or removing? Paint?
Maybe you just hang out in the garage and look at it(drool on it).
Drew anything caught your eye?

Come On Spring!!

I ordered new points and sprockets for
my vintage race bike.
I'll buy the chain locally
Because of what it is and it's age what I can buy
comes out of New York State.
Everything else I have to attempt a match up
or
manufacture myself or through a machinist friend.

So far, I have been extremely lucky with it's performance and reliability.
All others in my collection either need way too much stuff, like everything :127:
Or nothing at all. :discodance:
Need to save my rubels up to purchase some, a few, as many as I can afford, of select bikes out of
a collection that will be coming available in the next few months or year.

Sort of - I'm still interested in something in the sports-touring style. I've been eyeing the FJR1300, ST1300, and Honda currently has an RT1100 that I might take for a spin when riding season arrives. Depending on where I'm at when riding season actually hits, I might pick up a bike to tide me over in the interim. Kinda thinking something like a late-90's VFR800 - wicked fun rides.

I'm also incredibly tempted to pick up a small cafe-racer conversion - in around the 400-650cc mark.

Not me, haven't gone for a few years now.
I don't do well in crowds and, my motorcycle
preferences lean more to older models.

Have a safe trip and feel free to inform us of all the cool and neat new stuff you've discovered there.
