Are left turns to a one way street allowed to take place on a red light?

Red Light Quiz

Every province has their own version of our MVA, I am curious how others would answer the above question.

I learned in BC, left turns from a two way to a one way are legal on a red light in BC.

I like the idea of thinking of things in a positive manner. Skip the "do nots" and focus on the "dos." Therefore, I only remember the holy trinity of "dos" (AKA exceptions) from when I read the books many years ago.
    1) Do turn left on a red light if it's a one way (so long as you do it safely).
    2) Yellow speed signs are only suggested speeds. The speed limit for the corner is actually determined by the white sign (so long as you do it safely).
    3) A single solid line down the road means you can pass (so long as you do it safely).
Everything else in the books was just fluff and government propaganda.

I can't answer, because IMO the question is lacking.

Am I crossing traffic to the one way? Am I going from a one way to another one way?

My answer depends if there is oncoming traffic I need to cross.

If you were in Kelowna, on Ellis intending to turn onto Leon. Your light is red, no one is coming down Leon.

Well the question was when you were sitting at a red light so the oncoming traffic would be stopped and as with any turn you only proceed when it's safe to do so.

That's worked out great for me!
