Turn arrows and hours of operation
I forget exact intersection but one on 97 and they have turn hours but they are only used till like 3pm and so are not used at rush hour and its very busy now already this time of year and can't see why if they are they they can't be used a lot more. Without them you are forced to go thru pretty much on yellow or wait forever to turn.
What is the point of having the arrows if they have such limited times of use?

I wouldn't worry about it, just make only right hand turns instead.

Exactly, in most cases 3 right turns should bring to back to that left (instead of a turn you drive straight through).

There are too many intersections where you are just tempting fate if you make a left turn. 3 rights are much safer!

Three rights .how stupid is that. If there is a turn arrow there can't see why they can't pretty much have it on more often or pretty much all the time.

I guess you contact MOTI and ask them about that intersection

I had a feeling you'd have a sentiment like that, check this out:

Right turns aren't stupid.

I guess it depends on how long you end up sitting in the left turn lane.

Guess 2 rights (or 3) do make a "left" LOL!
Nobody wants to hear your opinion. They just want to hear their own opinion coming out of your mouth.

Surely the reason is fairly obvious even though it may not be ideal, it's the same reason they removed the left turn arrow completely from the Harvey/Pandosy intersection. During rush hour the traffic flow on Harvey is bad enough without extra wait time for the advance arrow so the cheapest fix is to remove the arrow. Of course rush hour is also the time when more traffic wants to turn left. As others have said 3 rights or use another intersection or route.

Kelowna's arterial flow sucks so bad they shouldn't allow any left turns on Harvey Ave at all.

Maybe just put in humongous traffic circles!

That will make it worse given how many people are terrified of them and come to a complete stop and wait for 'who knows what' prior to entering them.

I believe the intersection you talk about is going southboundon Hwy 97 turning left at Cooper Rd.( CIBC/ Burger King)
Yes a stupid turn light. Even dumber is the sign that is smaller than others posted above the turn light. If they make the sign larger ( remember our seniors and visitors), but also place a sign BEFORE THE TURN LANE ALONG THE LANDSCAPING of the Hwy, this may be adequate notice.
Other than that ... change your route after your experience or 3 turn right.
P.S. ... why do you think the bus comes along Enterprise then up Cooper Rd to get to Orchard Park?
