Road Rage on Rutland Rd

Post by BrokenPencil »

Anyone see the psycho driver in a black 1995 GMC single cab long box 4x4 (with red interior) trying to run a Honda trike off the side of Rutland Road about 20 minutes ago? I am looking for a plate number as the driver of the Honda trike got hit by a truck in the process. It started at the welcome to Kelowna sign and this driver continued to road rage on the trike all the way to the Sikh Temple. Road raging driver of the GMC was in his late 30s or early 40s with a full black handlebar mustache and balding. Slight build, possible sideburns.

That sounds remarkably similar to the person who was losing it on me on hwy 33 just because I was doing the speed limit.
The person went absolutely crazy.
Was funny. And the more I laughed the crazier he got.
It was an exponential crazy effect.
Ya dont see lots of those .

A Honda trike was being ridden down Rutland Road?
An ATV(trike) was being driven down Rutland Road?
Or was it a legal Honda Goldwing trike?

And, if it was an Illegal trike being operated on Rutland Road, what was the guy doing that justified the madness?

'Justified the madness'....

I am not sure that could be justified behavior ever. Looks like the OP is looking for a licence plate though. Perhaps stick to topic?

Honda trike at 4:30pm during rush hour traffic on rutland road, pretty sure the OP is talking a legal three wheeler. Just out of curiosity though, when was the last time you saw a honda atv 3 wheeler, you know they were banned and they stopped making them back in the 80's right?

I hear Scooby's voice when I read this thread title.

Production was banned. Ownership or use was not.
I still see them often for sale on Castanet, Craigslist, Kijiji, etc..
Just a few days ago (might still be up) there was a guy selling 7 Big Reds.

I was an ATC Mastah back in the 80's.
I can still catwalk an ATC farther than anyone on the planet.
I lived on one for about 5 years.
I bought one exactly like the one I owned in my youth about ten years ago. Figured I was all grown up now. Responsible, safe and all that.
I got my toy home, unloaded it from my truck and took it for a rip.
Within 30 seconds I had the front wheel up and I was hitting jumps and drifting it into corners. It was a hoot!
After 30 minutes I decided to load it back up and sell it.
I realized after the half hour that:
1.) I wasn't wearing a helmet, gloves or any other form of "gear".
2.) I had proven to myself that I had not grown up one bit.
3.) I knew if I kept it, I was going to hurt myself on it and I don't heal as quick anymore.

:topic: I had a guy rage on me for not using a yield as a merge.
I was coming from up Dilworth, turning right on 97 toward d/t.
That's a yield sign, but this buttclot from Alberta in his convertible BMW decided to start honking and waving his fist because I was in his way.
He continued to rage on 97, threatening to run into me/sideswipe me. I laughed at him and told him if he want's to scratch his mom's car...
He went ballistic.
He absolutely 'roid aped on his steering wheel to the point I thought he's snap it in two.
He screamed at me to pull over (to fight) and got ahead of me, then turned into whatever little mall that is at Burtch and 97. He pulled in, motioning for me to follow.
I acted like I was going to. Then I continued on. I saw him ripping through the parking lot to make his exit and try to catch me, but I was too far into thick traffic for him to catch up.
It still gives me a belly laugh to recall how PO'ed he was.
I should have called him in.
Hindsight is 20/20.

I actually laughed out loud reading that.
