I know right ?? But they did get a bunch of "distracted drivers " in the " Enterprise Way crawl " over the last few months.,....
Not that I complain , but the number of excessive speed tickets they COULD have given out if they cared to actually put some effort into it pales in comparison.....

452? Sounds like the speed limit is set too low for traffic flow.

By KL3's response, I wonder if it's reasonable to assume 500 infractions a week. Or is that only during a blitz one?

They could do that in one day if they chose to enforce the ridiculous limit on the bridge. Any day. Easily. If they had a safe place to pull over cars, like fish in a barrel. Me included.

Sure. Raise the speed limits then 20 km/h everywhere. Watch the fatality rates increase. Watch our insurance rates increase. If, to you, the problem is the speed limit, why stop at raising it? Why not remove it all together. School zones, highways, residential streets. Without the speed limit, we won't see blitzes getting 452 speeders. We will see more deadly accidents though.

That's because Kamloops highways aren't so over-congested that you're stuck in third gear most of the time. BTW, far higher accident rate in Kelowna than Kamloops even though the speeds are lower.
