Tis the season. Parking Wars.

The holidays are almost upon us. Spending time with family and friends await. But, during the start of the holidays, can we all just get along? I mean really. Verbally or physically fighting over a parking spot, just so you can go shopping? I mean come on.

So far this month I witnessed 3 incidents around Kelowna in various shopping areas. Please everyone, take to time to find a spot, If need be, park in the corner of the lot, away from the congestion. A extra 2min. walk will do you good. Or park on a side street.

Can I also ask operators of larger vehicles to attempt to find a spot that fits said ride? Not like the young guy who boxed me in last night at a local mall, clearly in a spot not fit for such a large vehicle, and had a stupid grin on his face while I negotiated getting into the driver-side of my vehicle. Thankfully, I bit my tongue as I had my daughter, and you appeared to be getting young children out of the truck. Hopefully they don't become a product of you-Inconsiderate and smug.

Everyone just think first when considering the impact of the vehicles beside you. I for one do.

I thought this was every day in Kelowna. Alas, yes, more noticeable now.

People with huge vehicles taking two spots, hogging lanes and in general, boxing people in too closely. :swear:

I drive a huge truck. I frequently look for small foreign cars to block in.

Smart cars are my favorite. I could put two of them in the box of my truck lol.

The only parking lot in Kelowna with big enough space for trucks is Costco.

Queen is right, daily happening not just during the holidays.
A polite note left on the offending vehicle, or a sticker ( jk) works I bet.
All the people here saying simply talk to who is annoying you - yea that's the ticket.
My poor car has dents and scratches from people who cannot exit their vehicle without slamming their door into my car.

Who is going to order the "I'm a parking twot" stickers? I'll take 100. The ones with extra strong glue. I'll pay extra.

if they have a kiddie seat you could always slip a note under the wiper
" call me I'm pregnant"
Mustn't encourage vandalism, but what do I call all the marks on my car? Accidents? Hell no. I stood and watched a truck backing in to the space beside me, then he couldn't get out as he knew I had my stink eye fixed on him. With a rock of his tiny penis engine he revved out away. Never even waved goodbye :(

Didn't wave? The cad! Musta been that "call me hot stuff, I wanna have your baby" note someone left.
I've noticed the fuller the parking lot, the more I'm willing to park in the furtherest reaches of the lot and walk in.

And I thought post-it notes might work, lessens paint damage, idjiots get to read, "I smell oil, get your engine checked.'

My question is.......How many of your fingers were clearly visible during that wave that you expressed? 5? 4? 3? 2?

So is attaching a shopping cart to an offending vehicle with zip ties vandalism ?

With discretion of course.

Nothing gets it across, like a broken window, and a note fastened to a brick, rock, or piece of scrap metal..
