Dandy ... you do realize Kelowna would come to a stop if they ever built a roundabout like that.

Well, Baba and I are used to them even though Baba's is much more complex. A chick probably designed it, is that what you're saying Baba?

There goes my baba, there goes my only one
I think she loves me, but she don't wanna let on
Yeah, she likes to keep me guessin', she's got me on the fence
With that little bit of mystery, she's a complex kid
And she's always been so hard to figure out
Yeah, she always likes to leave me with a shadow of a doubt

Sometimes at night I wait around 'til she gets out
She don't like workin', she says she hates her boss
But she's got me askin' questions, she's got me on the fence
With that little certain somethin', she's a complex kid
And she's always been so hard to get around
Yeah, she always likes to leave me with a shadow of a doubt

Just a shadow of a doubt, she seldom keeps me runnin'
I'm tryin' to figure out if she's leadin' up to somethin'
And when she's dreamin', sometimes she seems depressed
But in the morning, she don't remember it
But she's got me thinkin' about it, yeah, she's got me on the fence
With that little bit of mystery she's a complex kid

And she's always been so hard to live without
Yeah, she always likes to leave me with a shadow of a doubt
With a shadow of a doubt, a shadow of a doubt

It's okay Baba. Take solace in the fact that you can navigate roundabouts with impunity!

Not much solace here dandy - just the one roundabout in K-Town!

So are there many roundabouts over East? Or just where you are in Ontario?

It's fairly unique so far as I know in this part of the country. I've seen some in a few towns in the southern states, but I have yet to see one this big elsewhere in Ontario.
We're about an hour north-west of London on the shores of Lake Huron. About 2-1/2 hours north-west of Toronto. Or about 3 very long days of driving from Kelowna!

There used to be a whole bunch of traffic circles in Edmonton (years ago) I think they've removed most of them now (I heard a rumour to that effect)
I used to like using the Edmonton traffic circles once I figured out how to navigate them on the wrong side of the rd. Prior to that I'd only ever seen traffic circles in the UK. I found they made the traffic flow better.
Much better than 4 way stops. I've found a lot of drivers really are a bit sketchy on how thoes work.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Wow the simple one in Kelowna has drivers confused now. For some reason people entering the circle from Burch or from Guisachan seem to think they have the right of way. I have had two near misses there now, cars pulled our right in front of me. It's amazing how many vehicles signal a right turn entering the round, you signal right when you about to leave not enter.

In my opinion they do speed up traffic flow. People just need to learn how to use them.

Wait until you have someone driving around the wrong way, or the right direction but in reverse.(usually after the pubs have closed up) Or you get two drivers chatting back and forth and holding up traffic. Parallel parking on the inside and angle parking on the outside. Believe it or don't, it's probably the safest place in our town to ride a bike. All the younger drivers get "square wear" on their tires from incessantly driving round and round.
