Why do craft that are capable of traveling trillions of miles have lights on the outside of their craft?

And so our planes don't bump into them by accident.

To make humans ask stupid questions?

Advanced civilizations use lights too?

Maybe they aren't lights per se?

I dunno?

Who says they are traveling "trillions of miles"?

Maybe they are taking "flash photos" of primitive life forms.

Beware, those that SEE the lights, might just see their picture on the "intergalactic facebook page'.

Its a good question, and I've brought it up before. Now, really think about it P4T. A species that has capabilities to travel across great distances from one planet to another, is simply more advanced then we are ... there is no question about that. Then this species, who is more advanced then us, travels all this way to observe us, but they don't contact us. Yet they leave lights on. Does that really make any logical sense at all? No it doesn't.

As I've posted before ... do I believe in life elsewhere across the stars? Absolutely. Do I believe that this life is more advanced then we are? Absolutely. Do I believe that this advanced species knows of our existence and possibly has observed us? Sure, why not. Do I believe that they'd leave their lights on or that some shaky, blurry image/video is in fact these other species? No.

Nobody wants to hear your opinion. They just want to hear their own opinion coming out of your mouth.

"Primitive" is a relative term. For example, I believe that your thinking is primitive when compared to Alces alces.

Maybe these are teenage Aliens on Grad night. Teenagers never turn the lights off...

Logic + female + teenager = 0
I did manage to get a photo of one though.

Why would you deem that a stupid question? These craft are obviously not intending to be seen otherwise they would make their presence know in a much more obvious manner.

Common sense dictates that if detection is not important, why not make your presence know, if detection is important, why fly around with something identifying your craft as being there?

Do you have any evidence of a planet that could support life closer than a trillion miles away? From what I can find, the closest identified planet that has the possibility of sustaining life is 6 x10 to the 13 miles away.

Sometimes asking simple questions gives you an answer hard questions do not provide.

No it doesn't.

Firstly, there has been plenty of contact. Have an open mind and do some of your own research into the subject.

Secondly, don't you think these advanced civilizations would have protocols for contacting war mongering, flesh eating savages like us? Maybe they are moving towards mass contact and the sitings of lights are all part of it.

Thirdly, who's to say that all of what we are seeing are even lights as we know them? Maybe it's part of the process of an interdimentional shift? Maybe it is the material or programmable matter their craft is made of? Maybe part of the propulsion system? The possibilities are plentiful. No offense, but I think it is not me, but yourself that has not put much thought into the lights question.
