One question. If every one of these "sightings" are real these aliens obviously don't care about being seen so why don't they make a grand entrance for all of us to see, face to whatever the appendage that houses their control unit looks like?

That is a great question. To extrapolate further from your question/doubt........why doesn't this happen during daylight hours? HHHhhhhhmmmmmm???????

Probably because they know idiotic humans, they would fire their weapons and then ask questions.

Lame answer. They have mastered a technology that carries them across vast expanses of the Universe and they're afraid of a bit of metal propelled out of a tube by something that goes bang?

and, if they want to stay hidden, why have a big shiny light on the outside of your spacecraft? They need headlights to fly at night?

If I'm not mistaken, Men in Black portrayed Putin as an alien in passing.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, amateur meteorologist Mats Yderstig told the Nya Wermlands-Tidningen newspaper that he thought it was a small meteorite, likely around 50 centimetres in diameter, that exploded in the air.

“That would explain the bang that was heard in the area,” he said.
