Between the tourist destinations of Belize and Costa Rica is El Salvador, a rural country that’s becoming more American by the minute – in what they eat, at least.

Thanks to junk food, it’s estimated that 85 percent of children in El Salvador’s countryside have tooth decay, leading to jaw infections, tooth loss and even malnutrition, since it hurts kids’ mouths to eat. Ouch!

Your complaint is that they sell a product? Your concern would be well placed if the companies were to force feed the children their products however the blame here falls completely in the laps of the consumer, parents of the children and their Governments for not ensuring a proper dental health program.

The option to not consume is there, you would ask to ban a product that many enjoy just to fix those that do not have the brains to fix the problem where it actually lies?

You have to keep an open mind until it is proven one way or the other. You just can't take the T.V. or internet word on it.

I'm sorry, but it's stupid comments like this that doomed the Occupy movement. CEO wage inequities are real but to claim they love to see sick children is ridiculous.

Without even researching, I bet the same companies that make the children sick
are in partnership the ones that sell pharmaeutical drugs to those sick children when they get older.

Something like $300 billion worth of pharmaceutical drugs sold in N America each year.
Sickness is profitable.

FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety of (USA's) our nation’s food supply,
but it's totally corrupt - for example Monsanto's directors work for FDA, so they control what everyone eats.
That's what I base my comments on. I know how much corruption there is - most people don't have a clue,
so they freak out if someone doesn't post a 'link' for them to read.

It is very clear that the FDA is a criminally run organization that is completely and dangerously out of control. The FDA readily promotes dangerous foods and drugs and then suppresses real, high potency natural / organic nutritious foods under the guise of “safety”.
It's time to wake up!! The FDA needs to be totally abolished and its corrupt agents sued to the full extent of the law for all the damages, physical, psychological, etc., that they have caused to the many innocent victims abroad!

Who works for a food company and why would working for a food or drug company be a conflict of interest?

Prescription drugs are a big business.

In fact, in 2012, the top 11 global drug companies made nearly $85 billion in net profits.

Crap food = more drugs sold.

Good for them, now, please address the question regarding your assertion that the Directors of Monsanto work for the FDA.

“Good for them, now, please address the question regarding your assertion that the Directors of Monsanto work for the FDA”

That will not be addressed because it is just made up, there will be a series of deflection comments then nothing. This being the standard MO for a CT’er.
