I do believe the Death Star destruction was an inside job. Look for yourself and it does start to make more sense on what really happened on the fateful day.

Yet, never was 3PO's left handed limp ever explained during or after SW2. I think they are/were/are still hiding something from us, (the public). If you watch closely, you can see that 3PO always leans slightly to the right, as to take pressure off of his left side.
