I agree with these reasons, specially the casting spells on big masses of people through mega shows ans mega superstars using a heavy amount of symbolism that works directly into people's unconscious minds. These symbols act as 'sigils' and work directly with people's minds if they're not aware and prepared.

The idea that not knowing what these symbols mean therefore they do not effect anyone is misguided.
