Satanism is Illuminist in nature. So, while patrons of rock concerts might find the hand gestures silly and harmless, there are meanings and purpose behind them. The occult world has always communicated through the language of symbols.

If the viewer is unaware of the meaning others may put on these symbols, what effect do they have? The Illuminati is not exactly general knowledge among today's populace, and a belief that any given symbol means something else entirely would render the original meaning...well, meaningless, wouldn't it ?

I recall reading somewhere that the bad guys absolve themselves of guilt if they've made it clear (or clear enough in their minds) or forewarned people of the bad things they (illuninati) are about to do. i.e. all the supposed "hints" about 9/11 prior to it happening, the so called "clues" in some batman movie that foreshadowed the Sandy Hook shooting, etc.

eMeM, yes, in the occult world, the adepts and sages are said to gain more power by carrying out heinous acts against the profane with their consent—whether given expressly or by silence—than by carrying out said heinous acts without their consent. I don't think it's so much absolving themselves of guilt as it is getting their rocks off on a higher level, to put it crudely. And, yes, the predictive programming (foretelling of heinous acts) is part of the process.
