Anyone Been Up to Beaver Lake this Winter?

Thinking about going ice fishing on Beaver lake this weekend. Has anyone been up there in the last week or 2? Just wondering if the ice is thick enough yet.

The middle of the lake was wide open water on Dec 1. I'd give the big ponds another couple of weeks before venturing out. You might have better conditions on the smaller lakes. Be extra careful at this time of year. Lifejackets are your friend. :wink:

was up at oyama lake last weekend. frozen all across, but i wouldn't take a sled or even walk too far out. people were fishing 15 feet from shore. similar elevation i think, so i wouldn't be surprised if beaver was in a similar state. gonna go check it out saturday i think. maybe i'll bring the auger.

Friend went up to Hidden and fished, no luck, smaller lake and 8 inches of ice.

Spoke with the folks at the resort and they arn't going to venture out on the ice until the end of the month. Guess I'll be driving a little higher up in the hills if I want to fish this weekend.
