Water Rate INCREASE Again!

Well my water bill in lake Country has been hiked again. I am now paying just under $800.00 per year via Eastside Utilities.

Is it just me or does this not seem like complete and utter robbery ? My property taxes are only $1200 per year (with the grant) & look at what all that pays for.

When I purchased my home 17 years ago the rate was $180.00 per year. I will have to check ..but I believe my wage has not gone up anywhere near 450 percent in the same time. :purefury:

Would like to hear from you about what you pay here in LC and from my fellow Eastside Utility rape victims.

Eastside is a private utility and has nothing to do with the District. The District has no power over what Eastside charges, but old water pipes need upkeep and if we want to keep drinking clean water, we have to pay for it. Water rates have been kept lower than they should have for a long time and I suspect that they will continue to rise over the next 10-20 years.
