New school built on old Winfield dump site
Does anyone know about the location of the old Winfield dump site in regards to the new school being built? Reminds me of the dormitories at Okanagan College being built on an old dump site which is why they didn't build anymore. Hope the kids are safe.

Don't know about a dump site, but it's being built on the old Golf course.
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

It's pretty common to build on top of old landfills/garbage dumps. For example in Kamloops the superstore and whole strip mall area to the south is built on the old dump. Even the modern Whistler Village is built on top of an old landfill.
