Marinated baby back ribs, baked yam, steamed broccoli. Appetizer is fresh West Coast mussels on the half shell with garlic butter. Can't imagine people buying those inferior PEI mussels!

Ya, there were that too, but I usually don't list everything when I post in this thread. The meal also included steamed cabbage and mashed Yukon gold potatoes - both grown in the neighbourhood.

Question: We have a 20+ lb turkey for Saturday night. Is this enough to feed 7 adults and 12 kids (ages range from 2 to 11)? How about if we invite another 2 adults and 4 kids (same age range)?

Rule of thumb is an average 1/2 lb. to 1 lb. of meat per person depending on how big their appetites are.

Might want to have a second option like a small Ham maybe.

Are you kidding? 1/2-1# of MEAT/person? Who do you think I am? A K-9? a McD's 1/4# + small fries is enough to give me a belly ache. I am a 200# man and....there is NO way that I could eat 1/2# of Turkey in one meal and 2 lunches.
Add potatoes, 1 bun, maybe a salad, 1 veggie.......and I will fall asleep before desert.
It's now, "NO wonder why", there are sooooooo many leftovers.

Do the math. Do you eat 1 pound of turkey ? A bit much I think. Especially will all the other goodies ( I assume ).1/2 pound or less is more likely IMO. Plus kids don't eat that much especially a 2 year old. Invite everyone. The more the merrier.
